Woman Attacked By 3 Pit Bulls

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. -- A woman walking down Independence Drive in Douglas County was attacked by three pit bulls shortly after 8 a.m. Monday.
Neighbors identified the victim as Frankie Forsh, wife of a Douglas High School athletic coach Chet Forsh. Frankie Forsh was near the cul-de-sac of the Governor's Ridge subdivision when the three dogs jumped her, witnesses told Channel 2 Action News reporter Ross Cavitt. Several neighbors heard the commotion and came running to help.
Edd Stephens said he threw rocks and some weights at the dogs and was able to get one to run away quickly. But the other two kept up the attack, biting the victim on the face, arm and leg, Stephens said. Neighbors said the wounds were deep and traumatic.
Stephens said he was able to hit the last dog in the ribs with a rock and it ran off.
